ABOUT OMANI TEAMS

In Oman, there are currently five full Omani teams that ply their trade in the OCC Leagues. With a total of around 100 Omani nationals in the league, each team has approximately twenty Omanis each in their teams and the number continues to grow impressively each year as more and more Omanis join the game of Cricket.

In 2009, an Omani team made up of only nationals, went on to beat the UAE nationals and lift the first ever Gulf Cup. In 2010, with the help of the OCC board, the Omani nationals won all their group matches but went on to lose the final against hosts UAE.
